38-40 Front Lane started off its life as a mobil Petrol station in the late 1960’s.
In the days of ford Cortina’s and Morris Oxfords you had pump attendants put fuel in your vehicle for you and send you on your way. As time progressed through the 1970’s and the need for these old style petrol garages diminished the rear of the petrol station was turned into a repair garage. In the late 1970’s the petrol station closed down and pump attendant Bob took over the premises and founded Cranham Garage M.O.T and repair workshop.
Throughout the next 30 years Bob worked with a small team carrying out over an estimated 80,000 m.o.t’s and 40,000 services with thousands of repairs in addition.
Cranham Garage is now operated by Bob’s family and is still as busy as ever serving the Cranham, Upminster, Hornchurch, Romford and surrounding areas.
90% of our customers are from recommendations a fact of which we are very proud. We are continuing to invest in training and new working methods with new additions this year including DIESEL CAR M.O.T TESTING and a FREE MAIL REMINDER FACILITY FOR YOUR M.O.T & SERVICE INTERVALS which has had very positive feedback from our customers.

Cranham Garage is still one of the cutting edge vehicle repairs and m.o.t centres in Essex and is still providing all the up to date m.o.t, servicing, diagnostic and repair methods our customers expect.
